Looking for an Associate Toddler teacher for a progressive preschool in the Irvine Spectrum area. We are only interested in candidates who have a passion for the field and meet all the requirements listed. We're looking for people who have chosen early education as their career... not just a job. All applicants must have a clear understanding of an emergent curriculum as well as the ability to adapt to the needs of each individual child. Teachers must have experience working with children 18 to 30 months, and the ability to meet all children's needs. Must enjoy working in a team setting as well as the ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time. Punctual and dependable.
Toddler Teacher Qualifications:
- Toddler teachers must hold a Bachelor's Degree or qualify for the Child Development Teacher Permit; and have a minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education with 3 units of Infant/Toddler course. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Associate teachers are responsible for assisting the lead teacher in planning and implementing learning experiences for children ages 18 months to 30 months that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe and healthy learning environment.
- They encourage the involvement of families and support the development of positive relationships between all members of the Piper community.
- Must be fluent in English.
Responsibilities:
- Associate Toddler teachers must consistently participate in direct interaction with children, serve as faculty for professional development activities and community-based events, and be responsible for the items listed below and any others as assigned by members of the Administration.
- Teachers report to members of Administration and Administrative Support Staff, as directed throughout the policies of this job description.

Requirements:
- 12 ECE units (B.A. or B.S. Preferred).
- 3 ECE units of Infant/Toddler
- 1 Year Classroom Teaching Experience.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must have the ability to bend, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate is based on experience and education.
